Casey Webb's Los Angeles stop included Bruxie, a waffle-sandwich concept that opened in 2010 with what its own site calls one idea: putting a fried chicken and waffle sandwich together. Webb sampled the "BAMF," a sandwich built from two housemade waffles, fried boneless chicken, cavatappi mac and cheese mixed with bacon and a buffalo-spiced cheese sauce, and pepperoncini, finished with melted cheddar. The Santa Monica location on the Third Street Promenade is the site identified with the episode; Bruxie has grown into a small Southern California chain with additional locations in El Segundo, North Hollywood, Orange, Brea and, more recently, Davis in Northern California, according to local coverage of the chain's expansion. As of a July 2026 Yelp review update, the Santa Monica location continues to show recent customer activity, consistent with ongoing operation.
