Maui Now reported on November 9, 2023 that the business's original Front Street building was destroyed in the August 2023 Lahaina wildfire. KITV reported that Cool Cat Cafe reopened under the same name and ownership at a new location in Kihei in June 2024, keeping much of its original staff and menu.
