What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Falconetti's East Side Grill, at 1812 Commercial Drive in Vancouver, appeared in the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode “Meat Madness,” which aired 2012-01-16. Food Network's restaurant listing, viewed 2026-10-19, says the kitchen made its own gourmet sausages, up to 15 varieties, free of preservatives and fillings, and names a Chicken Thai Hot Dog flavored with coconut, curry and ginger, and dressed with Asian vegetables, sesame oil and hoisin, as the dish the host tried. Wikipedia's article on the restaurant (revised 2026-09-27) says it operated as a butcher shop and bar with a second-floor patio, served sausage and beer, and occupied the building that earlier held Monty's Pool Hall and Grandview Billiards. The Food Network listing, viewed 2026-10-19, carries a “(Closed)” label in its title, and a Google Maps listing checked the same day marks the business permanently closed. Neither page gives a closing date.
