What Happened to Harrogate Motel After The Hotel Inspector?

Harrogate Motel in North Yorkshire was featured in the Hotel Inspector (Channel 5) episode “Harrogate Motel, North Yorkshire,” which aired 2016-06-08. Wikipedia's list of episodes says the owners did not tell guests that the motel sat in the middle of a muddy equine centre, and the staging notes for this entry describe a hotel in the grounds of a stable. TVmaze lists the episode as the second of series 12, following the Blue Inn episode.

The location is not settled. A Google Places search for the name returned Harrogate Country B&B on Brackenthwaite Lane, HG3 1PW, a listing under a different name. A hotel.info page for that business, whose footer carried a 2026 copyright line, describes 28 guest rooms on a single floor, a garden, free on-site parking and a daily breakfast served from 7:30 to 9:00. The page does not mention stables, an equestrian centre, a motel or any earlier name, so nothing read links the B&B to the motel shown in the episode. For that reason its address and coordinates are not used here.

Searches by name and place turned up only episode guides and streaming pages. No source read for this entry gives a street address for the motel shown, a current website, 2026 hours or reviews, or any report of a sale, a rename or a closure.

Companies House lists Harrogate Motel Limited, registered at Spring House Farm on Brackenthwaite Lane in Burn Bridge, Harrogate, as dissolved on 2018-05-01. A Google Maps search checked 2026-10-20 finds no listing under the Harrogate Motel name; the only accommodation Google lists at that postcode is Harrogate Country B&B, whose newest Google review dates from 2019.
