Marion Street Eatery, in Winnipeg, was one of three restaurants in the May 20, 2016 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada, host John Catucci), alongside MEAT and Fratelli. The TVmaze episode listing describes its segment as friendly classics. A Google Maps text search in October 2026 for the restaurant's name returned Johnny's Marion Restaurant at 382 Marion Street in Winnipeg, listed as operational; its name differs from the featured one, and no page read links the two. The TVmaze episode listing places the restaurant in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and spells the name Marion Street Eatery.
CTV News Winnipeg reported on 22 April 2024 that Marion Street Eatery, a long-running restaurant in the Marion Hotel in St. Boniface, announced it would close at the end of May of that year. The report ran under the headline 'It's bittersweet: Popular St. Boniface restaurant set to close its doors' and did not say what would happen to the space.
