The Persson family has continuously owned and operated the restaurant since it opened in 1963. In February 2023, according to Wikipedia, the business renamed itself from Nordic Lodge to The Nordic. Yelp's listing for The Nordic, updated in July 2026, and Google Places both show it currently operating, and OpenTable's 2026 listing put the restaurant's season pricing at $145 per adult.
