The restaurant traced back to Del Grande's original Café Annie, which closed in May 2009 before he opened 'Restaurant RDG' nearby two months later, according to a Bringing It Home history of the space. By May 2016, the Post Oak address had reverted to the Café Annie name, according to Houstonia Magazine, before further evolving into its current form, The Annie Café & Bar, still at 1800 Post Oak Boulevard. That history page currently lists Brian Sutton as executive chef with Del Grande now serving as chef emeritus and partner, according to Bringing It Home.
