Restaurant: Impossible (Food Network) visited Whiskey Creek Steakhouse in Keyport, Washington, for an episode that aired January 2, 2013. According to a September 2012 article in the Kitsap Daily News, owners Pat and Karan Ziarnik had run the steakhouse since 1995 in a building dating to 1927 that had previously served as Keyport's first mercantile and later a tavern for sixty years. The paper reported that the Ziarniks' income had fallen 48 percent since 2007, that they had sold personal possessions and used their savings and life insurance to keep the restaurant running, and that they employed about twenty people at the time.

Following the series' standard format, Robert Irvine and the production crew reworked the restaurant's menu and updated its decor over a two-day renovation with a roughly $10,000 budget, capped by a grand reopening dinner the Ziarniks described as fully booked.

The renovation's effects did not last as the owners had hoped. Reporting from Puget Sound Blogs, part of the Kitsap Sun's local news network, indicates that the Ziarniks came to regret some of the changes made on the show and, in 2013, relocated the restaurant to a larger building across the highway. The business was later turned over to employees before ultimately closing for good.
