What happened after Restaurant Makeover?
The Restaurant Makeover episode titled "A Catered Affair" aired on Food Network Canada on 2008-10-13, the second episode of the fifth season. The Rotten Tomatoes episode guide describes it in a single line: two restaurant industry top guns were challenged to overhaul a struggling catering business. Wikipedia's list of the show's renovated restaurants places the business in Milton, Ontario, under the name A Catered Affair's Cafe. Those two descriptions are all that the sources read for this entry say about what the episode showed. Neither names the owners, explains what was going wrong, describes the menu, decor or staff changes, gives the budget, or covers the relaunch, so none of those details are given here.
Wikipedia's table, which is compiled by editors and was used only as a pointer, marks the business as still open and carries a note that it is now Grill Daddy. No other source read for this entry confirms the later name or says when it began. The page attaches no citation to individual rows of the table. Two web searches, one for A Catered Affair in Milton and one pairing the cafe with Grill Daddy, turned up pages about other Milton restaurants and about unrelated businesses. None was about either name at a Milton address.
A Google Places search for the featured name returned A Catered Affair by Tim & Chantel McRae, listed at 1320 Main St E in Hawkesbury, Ontario. That is a different town from Milton, and nothing read ties it to the Milton cafe, so its address and listing were not used. As a result no street address was found for the Milton business, and the entry is not placed on the map.
The only pointer to a later name is the undated Wikipedia note about Grill Daddy. The episode guide's wording, a struggling catering business, is the closest description of what the business did, and the guide says nothing more about its size, its clients or where in Milton it stood. Media in Canada described the series at its launch as one in which two well-known industry figures take on a struggling restaurant and overhaul it.
Wikipedia's table of Restaurant Makeover restaurants, read 2026-10-20, notes that A Catered Affair's Cafe in Milton later became a different restaurant, Grill Daddy. A Google Maps search for A Catered Affair's Cafe in Milton the same day returned no listing for the cafe, and no website or recent review for it was found.
