Season 4, episode 9 of You Gotta Eat Here! (aired 2015-03-27) had host John Catucci choosing between all-you-can-eat ribs and crab at a Calgary restaurant, according to TVmaze's episode summary. Daily Hive's 2017-06-29 roundup of Calgary barbecue lists Bookers BBQ Grill + Crab Shack at 316 3 Street SE, with plates of smoked brisket, chicken or St. Louis ribs, house-made andouille sausage and smoked wings. Savour Calgary reported on 2021-01-07 that the restaurant had served southern-style barbecue and seafood since 1998 from a former Lilydale poultry plant building, with buckets of crab, jambalaya, St. Louis ribs and brisket on the menu, and that Red Seal chef Brendan Bohan had joined to help with its reopening after the first lockdown. A public Google Maps listing for Booker's BBQ Grill and Crab Shack at 316 3 St SE, viewed 2026-10-19, marks the business permanently closed.
