What happened after Hotel Impossible?
Chipman Hill Suites, a business offering furnished suites in historic buildings in uptown Saint John, New Brunswick, was the subject of the Hotel Impossible episode "Breaking Point" (season 4, episode 4), which aired on the Travel Channel on 2014-02-17, according to TheTVDB. Hotel Impossible follows hospitality expert Anthony Melchiorri as he helps struggling hotels. TheTVDB's episode summary says his efforts met friction with the owner and that workload pressure on the staff led one housekeeper to quit.
CBC News New Brunswick ran an article before the broadcast. It reported that Melchiorri praised the hotel's cleanliness and the upkeep of the building but said the property needed substantial infrastructure work.
On 2026-10-19 the business's own website, chipmanhill.com, carried a 2026 copyright notice, page metadata showing a 2026-01-14 modification date, a booking widget with an availability search, a phone number, and package prices of $325 for "Uptown Foodie" and $379 for "Ultimate Romance". It described stays by the night, short-term, by the month and long-term. Its properties page, modified 2025-12-11 according to its metadata, lists eight historic properties, among them 76 Union Street. The site's news section featured posts titled "Our Staff" and a "Clean It Right" certification announcement. On the same day, Google's listing for Chipman Hill Suites at 76 Union St, Saint John, NB E2L 1A1 showed a business status of operational.
