Frommer's guide entry, undated, describes a worker-owned restaurant at 96 Germain Street with a Guatemalan kitchen serving pepian, garlic shrimp and shrimp tacos. Huddle.Today, on 2020-05-07, reported that Taco Pica had opened in 1994, founded by Guatemalan refugees who wanted to share Latin American culture with the city, and that it was known for Mexican, Guatemalan and Spanish food and for live shows across many genres, including all-ages events. The outlet described it as a gathering place for the local music and arts community. Huddle.Today also reported that the owner announced the closing in a Facebook post that thanked the city, the staff and patrons.
