What happened after Bar Rescue?

Game Time Sports Grille in Arlington had been bought by Teresa and Bryan in 2008 and put into their son Cody's name to shield the couple from being held personally liable for the bar's mounting debt, forcing Cody to leave college and take over a bar he never wanted to run. Bar Rescue's "Put It on Cody's Tab" episode, which aired in March 2018, showed long-standing family tension: Bryan drank at the bar he was meant to help manage, checked IDs without being asked, and argued with Teresa in front of staff, with the conflict escalating into a physical altercation outside the bar during filming. A broken walk-in cooler and raw chicken nearly served to customers added to the health concerns Jon Taffer's team found on site. Mixologist Lisamarie Joyce and chef Vic Vegas retrained the kitchen and bar staff, including cook David, who had let eggshells contaminate food during a stress test that had to be shut down. Taffer also pushed Bryan and Cody toward a more respectful working relationship. As part of the renovation, the bar was renamed The Legacy Bar & Grille, styled around wood-and-leather décor and bistro-style staff uniforms, and cook David was given a proper chef's coat to mark his progress, signaling a more polished identity than the sports bar had before. The rename held for nearly three years, with sales reported up more than 20 percent at the standard six-week follow-up. According to Action News 5, the health department did not act quickly enough on the owners' request to reopen after a passed re-inspection, and the owners announced on Facebook that they were closing permanently in January 2021. As of a 2023 property check, the Arlington location no longer operates as a bar or restaurant; the space is occupied by a catering business, Pink Flamingo Catering and Events, unrelated to the Game Time Sports Grille or Legacy ownership.
