PA Eats reported that Hammond and Hess closed Half Moon on 2017-03-11 after twenty years, choosing to retire. Delaware Business Now reported in 2017-02 that the Hammonds turned the space over to the managing partners of Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen, a Delaware-based restaurant group, who planned renovations before reopening the address as a Grain location.
