Homeskillet is listed in You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada, host John Catucci) for season 5, episode 19, which aired 2016-09-30 under the title “Homeskillet; The Combine Eatery; Burger Bar”. TVmaze's episode listing places the restaurant in Bellingham, Washington, and describes the featured food as breakfast. The series visits three local restaurants per episode, mostly in Canada, with some in the U.S., and this episode is one of the US stops. A Google Maps search for Homeskillet in Bellingham did not return a restaurant by that name; its top result was a market with a different name at 514 Potter St, which was not used because the name does not match.

Cascadia Daily reported on 26 January 2026 that HomeSkillet, a breakfast restaurant at 521 Kentucky Street in Bellingham's Sunnyland neighborhood, closed in 2022 and was succeeded in the same building by Homeschool BBQ, which plans to close at the end of March 2026. An AOL-hosted article reported that Homeskillet closed in May 2022 after ten years and quoted Christopher Reeves as saying there was no chance of Homeskillet returning. WhatcomTalk reported in January 2017 that Kirby and Tina White opened Homeskillet at 521 Kentucky Street in May 2012.
