Riverside Inn in Norland, Ontario, was featured in a Season 5 'Kids Edition' episode; the episode list used here dates it 2016-09-23, while TVDB also describes the inn in a Kids Edition dated 2016-09-16 as serving cottage country comfort food. The Highlander reported on 2023-07-13 that the inn, built in 1923 for mill workers on the Gull River, was marking its 100th anniversary, and that it had been a soda shop in the 1950s. The same article reported that new owners had taken over in 2023, kept the casual family-style approach of the previous owners, who ran it for 11 years, and changed the menu. The restaurant's website, viewed 2026-10-20 with a 2026 copyright, lists weekly hours for Monday and Thursday through Sunday, online booking and gift cards, and brands itself The Riverside. Google Maps lists the address as 7497 Highway 35.
