Kings Blu Jam Cafe, a Louisiana-style breakfast restaurant in Spring, Texas opened by owner Connie King in 2018, appeared in season 9, episode 6 of Kitchen Nightmares, "Kings Blue Jam," which aired February 11, 2025. The cafe had thrived as one of the few breakfast spots in the area before new competitors arrived, and by the time of filming was roughly $600,000 in debt with the family's home at risk. As shown in the episode, Connie's daughter had taken on the role of manager and clashed with the head chef and staff over her direct style, while Connie continued to intervene in kitchen decisions despite having ceded day-to-day control to her daughter.
