Legends Is Now Wychwood Pub — What Happened After Restaurant Takeover?

Legends Bar and Eatery, at 517 St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto, was the fourth episode of Restaurant Takeover (Food Network Canada) season two, aired on 2013-09-18. TVmaze's episode page describes owner Reza as someone who had given up a great deal to keep the bar running for a loyal clientele of regulars who were getting older. The bar needed to draw the young families and condo residents moving into the neighborhood, and the show sent in chef Andrea Nicholson and designer Amanda Campbell to help revitalize it so that Reza could step back and reclaim some of his own life.

What changed is described by two directory pages. TV Foodies, a fan directory of TV-featured restaurants, lists Legends Bar & Eatery, also known as Wychwood Pub, at 517 St. Clair Avenue West; its page, published 2014-08-03, calls the place newly renovated and says it offered homemade food and eleven beers on tap. That page spells the street as Street Clair and also lists a phone number and a Facebook page. A blogTO page on Wychwood Pub says the pub was formerly the Legends Bar and Eatery, was featured on Restaurant Takeover, and has a new interior that the page credits to the show.

The same page mentions a Tuesday and Wednesday deal of a pound of wings for $7. Taken together, these pages indicate that the bar traded as Wychwood Pub after the makeover, although neither gives a date for the rename or for a relaunch.

A Google Maps search for the name Legends surfaced a business called Legends Entertainment on Pippin Road in Vaughan; that is a different business in a different town, and it was not used.

The pub's own website, wychwoodpub.com, checked 2026-10-19, gives 517 St. Clair Avenue West and the telephone number (416) 535-2715, the same number TV Foodies listed for Legends Bar & Eatery, also known as Wychwood Pub, on 2014-08-03. The site carries a 2026 copyright line, lists Thursday trivia starting 2026-10-01 and live music on 2026-10-03, 2026-10-09, 2026-10-16 and 2026-10-23, and describes the pub as a neighbourhood pub since 1999. It does not mention Legends or the television show.
