What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
The July 24, 2015 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! ('Starving Artist, Jasper Brewing Company Brewpub & Eatery, Payne's Bar-B-Que') visited an all-day brunch restaurant in Toronto that offers artistic takes on the classic waffle, according to TVmaze's episode listing. NOW Magazine reported on May 25, 2015 that Starving Artist was opening its third location at 810 College Street on June 6, joining an original on Lansdowne and a second on St. Clair West that opened the previous year; the menu included waffle-built Benedicts and bacon cooked in a waffle iron. A Words with Michelle post of November 2, 2018 listed six Toronto-area addresses, including 833 Runnymede Road, and described waffles served plain, as sandwiches and as desserts.
In October 2026 the starvingartist.ca address led to a page for Starving4Waffle that gave daily hours and a delivery button and mentioned seven locations, without addresses or a 2026 date. The sources read do not identify which location was filmed.
A Google Maps search checked 2026-10-20 shows Starving Artist's 810 College Street restaurant marked permanently closed and the brand's restaurant at 833 Runnymede Road operating. City of Toronto business licence records show the Starving Artist branches licensed when the episode aired in 2015 have all had their licences cancelled, and the Runnymede Road location was licensed from 2018, after the broadcast. No source read says which branch the show filmed.
