In the You Gotta Eat Here! episode that aired on 2014-06-27, host John Catucci ordered a Pacific salmon-waffle sandwich for brunch at Twisted Apron in Windsor, Ontario, according to TVmaze's episode summary. Ontario's Southwest, a regional tourism site, lists a Smoked Salmon Waffle Benny on the restaurant's menu in an undated guide to the show's southwestern Ontario restaurants, made with a quinoa dill waffle, smoked salmon, red onions, fried capers, poached eggs and hollandaise. The restaurant's own website describes The Twisted Apron Brunch Bar as a breakfast and brunch restaurant in Windsor's Walkerville neighborhood serving comfort food with a twist.
Windsor Eats, in an undated roundup of 2022, wrote that the restaurant had moved locations and expanded its operations. In October 2026 the restaurant's website, which carries a 2026 copyright line, listed weekday hours of 8 am to 4 pm, weekend hours of 9 am to 4 pm and holiday hours, and described walk-in seating with no reservations, with dine-in and takeout.
