What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
In the You Gotta Eat Here! episode that aired on 2014-06-27, host John Catucci visited MLTDWN in Kingston, Ontario, where, according to TVmaze's episode summary, he tried a lasagna grilled cheese. The Kingstonist reported on 2012-09-04 that MltDwn had opened within the previous two weeks in downtown Kingston, a few steps down from The Works, in a space that had earlier housed Vinnie's Subs and then Vinnie's Burgers and Fries. An undated Visit Kingston archive page, in a roundup of the city's most photographed foods, lists MLT DWN at 292 Princess Street and names three grilled cheeses: one with homemade lasagna inside, a beef brisket version with caramelized onion, provolone, swiss and garlic truffle mayo on rye, and one stuffed with mac and cheese. A grilled cheese eatery also called MLTDWN operates in the Rideau Centre dining hall in Ottawa, according to an undated review in The Fulcrum.
A DoorDash ordering page for Melt & Grill at 292 Princess Street in Kingston, read on 2026-10-19, lists online ordering from 6 pm to 2:30 am and a menu that includes a Melt & Grill Special at CA$13.99, mac and cheese bites, roasted pepper and tomato soup, pulled pork, wings and butter chicken momos. The page does not mention MLTDWN. No source read says whether Melt & Grill shares owners with MLTDWN, which Visit Kingston's undated archive page places at the same address.
