You Gotta Eat Here! season 5, episode 22 aired on Food Network Canada on 2016-10-21 with host John Catucci, under the episode title "Cartems Donuterie, Pizzeria Defina, Mother Hubbard." TVmaze's episode listing places Cartems Donuterie in Vancouver, British Columbia, and describes its featured food as inventive donuts. Search results in October 2026 showed several pieces on the shop, including a BC Living article headlined as Cartems Donuterie bringing fancy doughnuts to Gastown and a Scout Magazine article about a new Cartems Donuterie location in Mount Pleasant; the results displayed no publication dates, so those pieces are not used here for dates. A Google Places search for the name returned a business with a different name, Cream Pony at 2190 Main St, Vancouver, which this entry does not treat as the same business.
Scout Magazine reported on 2013-10-21 that a new Cartems Donuterie location was set to open at 534 West Pender Street, and described the earlier Carrall and Hastings location as shuttered. Daily Hive reported on 2025-01-24 that Cartems Donuts would close its doors on February 14, 2025, with the Main Street shop in Mount Pleasant the only brick-and-mortar location left, and said the West Pender Street shop in Gastown closed in 2023 because its building was about to be demolished.
