What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
DD Mau, a Vietnamese banh mi shop in Vancouver, was one of three stops in the You Gotta Eat Here! episode "Fine Diner, Famous Peppers, DD Mau" (S3E16, Food Network Canada, aired 2014-05-30). TheTVDB's episode page lists a Vietnamese lemongrass banh mi sandwich among the dishes host John Catucci tried. Daily Hive published a profile dated 2025-05-22 by Marco Ovies that reported siblings Kim and Kon Tran started DD Mau in Yaletown in 2012, that the shop was scouted for the show, that the Yaletown location closed on 2021-07-17 after nine years, and that a Chinatown restaurant at 145 East Pender Street opened in 2018. The restaurant's website, viewed on 2026-10-19, lists the Chinatown address and phone number and shows a Yaletown menu link without an address. Google Maps lists DD MAU Chinatown at the same East Pender address.
