TVmaze's listing for the episode "Busters BBQ, Argo Cafe, Magnolia's Grill" (S1E5, aired 2012-08-12) says host John Catucci ate grilled-cheese sandwiches and duck confit at Argo Café in Vancouver. The cafe's own website says the space has been a diner since 1954, and that around 2004 Chef Denis Larouche and his brother-in-law Kirby Wong reworked it into the cafe it is today. The site's description of its food names grilled cheese sandwiches and unprocessed beef burgers among the dishes. Vancouver Magazine's 2026 Restaurant Awards, in an article dated 2026-05-04, named Argo Cafe the Gold winner in its Best Casual Restaurants category and singled out the duck confit pancakes, fried chicken and waffles, and the soups. In October 2026 the cafe's website, which carries a 2026 copyright line, listed its hours, said the cafe is closed Mondays and Sundays, and said it does not take reservations. The address is 1836 Ontario Street in Vancouver.
