What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?

'The Bungalow; The Rumpus Room; Big Fish' aired 2013-04-19, and TVmaze's episode listing says host John Catucci eats waffle burgers at the Rumpus Room in Vancouver. The Georgia Straight reported on 2014-03-13 that the restaurant, then at Main Street and 11th Avenue, would close at the end of March 2014 because its building was slated for demolition; co-owner Rachel Zottenberg said the lease included a demolition clause. Daily Hive reported on 2018-01-20 that Zottenberg and David Duprey were bringing the Rumpus Room back at 2301 Main Street, in the former home of The Foundation, with a 1980s rec-room look and comfort food. Sherman's Food Adventures reviewed that Main Street location on 2019-06-11, and the same blog page now carries a closed notice. A Google Maps listing retrieved 2026-10-19 marks the restaurant permanently closed.
