TVmaze's episode listing for 'Black Skirt; L'Avenue; El Camino's' (aired 2013-04-12) says host John Catucci has brunch at L'Avenue in Montreal. Daily Hive Montreal's brunch roundup, dated 2023-02-06, named L'Avenue as its first pick, described the Mont-Royal restaurant as known for unusual plates, quirky decor and friendly service, and pointed to crepes, large eggs benedict plates and avocado toast; the article also listed a second L'Avenue on rue Notre-Dame Ouest. Table Journey, in a guide dated 2026-07-01, placed the Plateau brunch spot at 922 Avenue du Mont-Royal Est, listed hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, highlighted a loaded eggs benedict with fruit and potatoes, and noted that it had checked the restaurant's website on that date. The Table Journey guide did not mention any change of name or ownership.
