What happened after Bar Rescue?

Cliques operated in Hope Mills, North Carolina under owner Todd Harr, who according to the episode had been deployed overseas by the military not long after opening the bar. When Harr returned, he found the business had drifted into what the show characterized as an unsupervised, male-dominated hangout, and he struggled to reassert control over staff. Jon Taffer's team documented a roach infestation affecting the bar, kitchen, liquor bottles, and glassware, and Harr initially blamed the problem on his employees rather than taking ownership of it. A patron was reported injured during the recon period, and the bar's decor, including an in-house punching-bag machine, was called out as out of step with the venue's identity.

As part of the rescue, mixologist Russell Davis and chef Tiffany Derry retrained staff on drink and food execution, and the show rebuilt the space around a military theme tailored to the bar's proximity to Fort Bragg, replacing the punching machine with a model tank and other military memorabilia. The bar was renamed from Cliques to 22 Klicks, a reference to its driving distance from the base.

The rebrand held. According to Reality TV Updates, sales rose by roughly 50% in the weeks after the visit, helping Harr work down existing debt, and he kept in contact with Jon Taffer afterward, including a 2015 industry-convention appearance together; the bar was also revisited in a 2018 'Back to the Bar' episode. In 2014, local police carried out drug-related arrests connected to a multi-bar raid that included one 22 Klicks employee, according to a Fayetteville Observer report referenced by Reality TV Updates; the report does not suggest the owner was aware of or involved in the conduct. More recently, Reality TV Updates cites a December 2023 Fayetteville Observer article reporting that the hotel that owns 22 Klicks' original building wanted its parking lot back, citing noise from the bar's live entertainment. The bar has since relocated: its own website currently lists an address in Fayetteville, NC distinct from its original Hope Mills location, and it continues operating there today under the 22 Klicks name.
