What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Part 1 — Season 13, Episode 1 Aired
Fresh Local Wild was a Vancouver food truck on West Hastings Street that appeared in the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode “Seafood & Sammies,” which aired 2011-11-28. Food Network's restaurant listing describes it as a truck serving organic, fresh food, parked about two blocks from the water, with fish delivered fresh each day. The same listing names two dishes from the host's visit: a poutine finished with seafood chowder, and a chicken-fried oyster sandwich with homemade tartar sauce. Google's listing for the truck was marked permanently closed in October 2026, with a location given only as West Hastings Street and no street number.
Part 2 — Season 22, Episode 14 Aired
Fresh Local Wild, a Vancouver food truck, was part of "Food Truckapalooza," which aired 2015-02-22. TheTVDB lists that episode as a one-hour special of food trucks from across the show's run, with fresh catches in Canada among its themes, though the listing does not name the truck. Food Network's restaurant page, which is undated, describes Fresh Local Wild as a truck serving organic, fresh food with fish delivered daily, and lists poutine topped with seafood chowder and a chicken-fried oyster sandwich with homemade tartar sauce as the dishes Guy Fieri favored.
That page places the truck on West Hastings Street in Vancouver. An undated listing on the restaurant guide Pearl puts the truck at West Hastings and Burrard Street, lists it as opened in 2010, and also names an oyster po'boy, a venison burger and a smoked northern coho burger on the menu.
