What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Jax appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in the episode "Cruisin' Capital Cities," which aired 2019-11-22. Food Network's restaurant page lists the Bison Burger, made with house-brined pork loin and sharp cheddar on a brioche bun, and the Banana Bread French Toast as the featured dishes. It describes a tiny breakfast-and-lunch spot whose flat top can cook only a few burgers at a time. According to the restaurant's website, Jax is a small bistro at 479 Bronson Ave in Ottawa's Centretown that bakes its own bread and serves brunch and lunch, with occasional private dinners, and chef Ben Breitler has owned it since April 2017. The website, as of October 2026, listed dine-in and takeout hours of Tuesday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and embedded social posts promoting weekend brunch specials. Google's listing showed the business as operational in October 2026.
