What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

OCCO Kitchen & Bar appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in the episode "Off the Beaten Path," which aired 2020-01-03. Food Network's restaurant page lists the East Coast Donair, a gyro-style sandwich of thin ground-beef patties with cheese, fresh and pickled vegetables and sweet donair sauce, along with the cod cakes, and Food Network's episode listing describes Newfoundland specialties built on a centuries-old cod cake recipe. The Ottawa Business Journal reported on 2019-08-29 that owner Mark Steele, a Newfoundland native, opened the first OCCO in Orléans about four years earlier and added a downtown location in the Albert at Bay Suite Hotel in March 2019, and that Guy Fieri was seen on the downtown patio with a camera crew.

The restaurant's website, as of October 2026, listed downtown dine-in and takeout hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekend brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., an online-ordering widget, and a link to a 2025 holiday brunch page. Google's listing showed the Bay Street location as operational in October 2026.
