Lakeview Restaurant, a diner at 1132 Dundas Street West in Toronto, appeared in the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode “Unlikely Partners,” which aired 2013-03-11. Food Network's restaurant listing describes it as a diner that puts a twist on the basics and names three special dishes: Freedom Toast, a cornflake chicken sandwich and an apple pie milkshake made with half a slice of pie, the last of which the listing says the host especially liked. Wikipedia's article says the building dates to 1932, that Fadi Hakim and his wife, Frances Bell, bought the business in 2008, and that the diner has been used as a filming location for many film and television productions.
