Mill Street Bistro was a farm-to-fork fine-dining restaurant in Norwalk, Ohio, opened by Joe Nagy after he left a career in food sales and began raising elk and other livestock on his own ranch to supply the kitchen. Filmed in June 2012, the two-part episode showed Ramsay arriving expecting the "farm-to-fork" concept the menu promised, only to find much of the food coming from the freezer rather than the ranch. Dinner service exposed an overloaded, pretentious menu built around dishes like an elk quesadilla, slow ticket times, and a chef and owner who clashed over the direction of the kitchen. Staff told Ramsay that business was slow largely because of Nagy himself, whose arrogance and reluctance to accept criticism ran through both episodes; the first part ended with Ramsay nearly walking out after a heated argument with Nagy in the kitchen. By the start of the second episode the two had cooled off, and Ramsay held a staff meeting airing complaints about Nagy that the owner overheard from another room. Ramsay then rebuilt the menu around simpler, bistro-appropriate dishes and, on the second night, installed a new chef to run the kitchen while asking Nagy to stay out front, a change that produced a smoother relaunch, though the show's narrator cautioned that the restaurant's future depended on Nagy keeping his promise to stay out of the kitchen.

That promise did not hold. According to Mashed (2024-06-16), the restaurant's Yelp reviews turned from mostly five-star ratings shortly after filming in mid-2012 to mostly one-star by the time the episode aired in March 2013, and Nagy had already returned to running the kitchen himself. By December 2013 the business was rebranded as Maple City Tavern, still under Nagy, but reviews stayed poor. Separately, according to court records cited by Mashed, Nagy sued the production over alleged damage to the restaurant and the loss of cooking equipment and elk steaks; the dispute was settled in January 2014 for roughly 900 British pounds. Maple City Tavern's closure came in February 2016; Nagy told the Norwalk Reflector at the time, as quoted by Mashed, that the restaurant "had a great run" and was "a good restaurant and a wonderful building." The building sold that year for $140,000, per the same report, well below a 2013 asking price of $379,000. Nagy has since been spotted informally selling elk products at food events in Ohio and Florida, per secondhand accounts collected by Mashed. The Mill Street and Maple City space has since changed hands more than once and is now home to an unrelated Irish restaurant, Red Shamrock, with no connection to Nagy, according to Dexerto (2025-08-15).
