What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Shiki Menya was featured in “Hot Dogs, Hot Knots, and Hot Ramen,” Season 43, Episode 3 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network), which aired on 2026-02-27. The restaurant is a ramen shop in Calgary’s Bridgeland neighborhood; Google's listing places it at 824 1 Ave NE. Avenue Calgary (2017-09-11) reported that it opened in 2014, run by the Aihara family with Koki Aihara as the driving force, and described its Chili Goma ramen, a sesame-and-chili broth topped with minced pork, built on a 20-hour pork bone broth.
The Calgary Journal (2020-06-18) described its bolder, new-school ramen flavors and named Aihara as owner. The shop’s website, as of October 2026, carried a 2026 copyright notice, described a signature 20-plus-hour pork bone broth with house-made noodles, advertised a Ramen Club delivery run every Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 8, and described a First Avenue Corner Store snack bar serving sandos, curry and udon.
