What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
Slickity Jim's Chat 'n' Chew in Vancouver was one of three viewer picks on the Fan Fave edition of You Gotta Eat Here! that aired 2013-05-10, alongside Smoque Shack in Ottawa and Boogie's Burgers in Calgary. According to TheTVDB's episode synopsis, host John Catucci ordered The Abstract Notion, a dish the cook improvises on the spot, to test whether it matched a fan's praise. The business was a Vancouver restaurant on Main Street; the episode listing spells the name Slickity Jim's, while Scout Magazine spells it Slickety Jim's. Scout Magazine's media roundup dated 2009-11-19 listed Slickety Jim's among the Main Street businesses destroyed in a fire that month, several years before this broadcast. A public Google Maps listing for Slickity Jim's Chat 'n' Chew at 3475 Main Street, Vancouver, checked 2026-10-19, is marked permanently closed.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
