What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
The Hogtown Vegan, a Toronto vegan restaurant, was one of three viewer picks on the Fan Fave episode of You Gotta Eat Here! that aired 2013-05-10. According to TheTVDB's synopsis, a fan recommended it for diner-style comfort food that suits vegans and meat-eaters alike, and host John Catucci tried the unpulled pork sandwich, a meat-free take on pulled pork topped with a creamy, crunchy slaw. Daily Hive Toronto reported on 2017-09-26 that the business was opening a second location at 382 College Street, near College and Croft just west of Spadina, with its original restaurant at 1056 Bloor Street West, and listed UnChicken & Waffles and Phish & Chips on its meat-, dairy- and egg-free menu. The restaurant's website, viewed 2026-10-20, listed 382 College Street as its only location, with dinner hours and links to UberEats and DoorDash ordering pages. A Google Maps listing for the College Street address, checked 2026-10-19, is marked permanently closed.
