What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
The Burnt Tongue, a soup shop in Hamilton, Ontario, was one of three restaurants in the April 29, 2016 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada, host John Catucci), which also featured Buck Stop and Saus. The TVmaze episode listing describes its segment as soup. The business's own website, theburnttongue.com, read in October 2026, offers a soup menu, take-home soups, catering and cooking classes, lists daily hours of 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and points to a live menu and online ordering at 1019 King St W. A Google Maps listing read at the same time places the business at 10 Cannon St E in Hamilton and marks it operational.
What Now Toronto reported on 7 May 2026 that The Burnt Tongue, a Hamilton soup restaurant, was expanding to 491 Appleby Line in Burlington, and named its four Hamilton locations as Cannon Street East, Locke Street South, King Street West in Westdale and King Street West in Dundas. I Heart Hamilton listed the shop at 10 Cannon Street East in a May 2014 article, two years before the episode aired. Hamilton City Magazine's restaurant roundup of 3 July 2026 described the Burlington site as the company's first outside Hamilton.
