What happened after Bar Rescue?

The Holding Company opened in April 2014 when four sisters from Dublin, Danielle, Marissa, Leona and Natalie Browne, pooled savings to buy a decades-old bar on the upper level of Two Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. On the episode "Loose Lips Loose Tips" (aired 2015-03-29), the sisters were shown pursuing different, conflicting visions for the business and losing money as a result. Spies sent in by the show, chef Tiffany Derry and mixologist Mia Mastroianni, ordered a cobb salad and mac and cheese and found the drinks too sour and the food watery; when they revealed themselves as being with the production, the sisters argued among themselves about who was responsible. Host Jon Taffer said the bar's downtown Financial District location was strong but called the operation itself unpolished, and required the sisters to address their conflict before he would continue.

During the stress test, ticket times ran up to roughly thirty minutes and the bar fell behind by two dozen drinks at one point; sister Danielle stepped into a lead role to help stabilize service. Mixologist Mastroianni introduced new drink recipes such as the "Madison Squeeze," and chef Derry added new food items, while the location received a renovation and a new name, Patriot House, themed around early American history with decor referencing the founding era.

At the relaunch, staff reported nearly $2,500 in sales in the first hour, a level the sisters said the bar had not previously reached. A February 2015 SF Weekly review of the newly reopened Patriot House described it as a workable neighborhood sports bar with an American-history theme applied inconsistently across its menu, noting a server's comment that at least one cocktail on the menu was a recipe from the show still being tested.

The business has continued operating as Patriot House at 2 Embarcadero Center under the same ownership.
