Brit & Chips was one of three stops in the Season 5 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! titled "Happy Dog, Barb's Country Kitchen, Brit & Chips," which aired 2016-03-04. TVmaze's episode listing says host John Catucci visited the Montreal restaurant but does not name a dish, so the fish-and-chips focus comes from the restaurant's name and specialty. Brit & Chips is a fish-and-chips restaurant at 433 Rue McGill, on the edge of Old Montreal, according to RestoEnLigne. Tastet's fish-and-chips list, updated 2026-04-13, said diners can choose cod, haddock, salmon, sole or hake, with a tofu-based vegan version and sides such as pickled onions or baked beans. The restaurant's website says it serves sustainable fish and takes no reservations. RestoEnLigne listed dining-room hours of 11:30 to 22:00 Sunday through Wednesday and 11:30 to 23:00 Thursday through Saturday, and showed reviews dated as recently as 2026-10-18.
