El Pirata Detapas, at 115 Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill, London, faced Fino in the Spanish category of Ramsay's Best Restaurant (Channel 4), in the episode "Spanish Restaurants & The Semi Finals, Pt. 1" aired 2010-11-02. Time Out's review, dated 2013-09-25, described it as the Notting Hill sibling of Mayfair's El Pirata, with a set lunch under 10 pounds and a 21-pound tasting menu. Andy Hayler's site carries a review of the Spanish tapas restaurant dated February 2011. Time Out's page, read on 2026-10-19, is headed closed and gives no closure date. The website of the Mayfair El Pirata, read the same day, lists 5-6 Down Street, says the restaurant has run since 1994, and mentions no Notting Hill branch.
