What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
Red Top Drive-Inn, the drive-in restaurant at 219 St. Mary's Road in Winnipeg, was one of three stops in the episode "Red Top, Diner Deluxe, Cafe Polenez" of You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada), which aired 2012-09-14 according to TVmaze; the TVmaze summary names the stop but no dish. The Manitoba Historical Society's page, revised 2025-06-08, reports that the restaurant opened in 1960 as a drive-in, founded by Gus Scouras, George Depres and other business partners, and cites a 1960 Winnipeg Free Press article and a 2010 Free Press piece on the family's history. The restaurant's own website carries the line "Serving great food since 1960!" When that website was checked on 2026-10-20, it listed hours of 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sunday and linked to online ordering and SkipTheDishes, though its page footer still showed a 2019 copyright year.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
