What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?

Café Polonez, a Polish restaurant at 195 Roncesvalles Avenue in Toronto, was a stop in the episode "Red Top, Diner Deluxe, Cafe Polenez" of You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada), which aired 2012-09-14 according to TVmaze; the TVmaze summary names the restaurant but no dish. Tastet, in a review last updated 2026-05-24, reported that the Zychla family took over an existing Polish cafe on the avenue in 1981 and kept its name, and that a daughter, Sofia Jedynak, now leads it with her children as co-owners. The review describes fresh-made pierogi, schnitzel, seasonal soups and a Hungarian-style potato pancake with beef goulash, which it calls the most-ordered dish, and gives opening hours of 11am to 10pm every day. A Google Maps listing read on 2026-10-19 also shows the restaurant as operational.
