What happened after Project Bakeover?
OMG Coffee and Bakeshop, a Toronto bakery, was the second bakery on Project Bakeover (Food Network Canada). Its episode, "Maple Makeover," aired 2021-02-11. Wikipedia's episode table, the only source found that uses the name OMG Coffee and Bakeshop, lists the bakery under Toronto, Ontario, and credits the items developed for the episode as a focaccia pizza and an Ontario maple glazed cake. The same page describes the series as one in which pastry chef and chocolatier Steve Hodge and designer Tiffany Pratt help struggling bakeries transform their menus and decor, and TVmaze's listing for the series gives a premiere date of 2021-02-04, with this episode following a week later. Neither source describes the owners, the bakery's problems in the episode, the redesign or the relaunch, so this entry cannot say what was changed.
TV Guide's season-one episode listing, read 2026-10-19, says chef Lesley owns and operates OMG Coffee + Bakeshop in Toronto with her boyfriend Jordan, and TheTVDB's page for "Maple Makeover," read the same day, names the business OMG Baked Goodness and says the couple had run it for a decade and were deciding whether to renew their lease or close. Bakers Journal reported on 2010-09-24 that Lesley Mattina operated OMG Baked Goodness at 1561 Dundas St. W. Toronto Life reported on 2016-08-12 that she had opened a second location, OMG on the Park, at 47 Abell St. NOW Toronto reported on 2021-11-02 that OMG Baked Goodness had left Dundas West after 12 years and that the closure was not the end of the business, quoting Mattina's Instagram post about a "next (delicious) chapter." Streets of Toronto lists 1561 Dundas Street West as permanently closed, with details current through 2024.
