What happened after Project Bakeover?
The Kneaded Knook Bakery, a bakery and cafe in Straffordville, Ontario, was the ninth bakery on Project Bakeover (Food Network Canada). Its episode, "It's Not All Easy as Pie," aired 2021-06-17. Wikipedia's episode table credits pastry chef Steve Hodge's items for the episode as a blackberry upside down cake, madeleine sandwiches and a savoury galette. According to Wikipedia, the series teams Hodge with designer Tiffany Pratt to help struggling bakeries rework their menus and decor, and its first season ran to ten episodes, with the second block of five beginning on 2021-05-27 and this episode the fourth of that block.
Wikipedia reports that a second season followed in 2022. TVmaze's listing for the series gives the same ten Season 1 titles, with airdates from 2021-02-04 to 2021-06-24. Neither listing describes the owners, the problems shown in the episode, the redesign or the relaunch, and a search for coverage of this bakery turned up no news article, owner statement or event listing, so this entry cannot say what was changed.
The only location data found is a Google Places record retrieved 2026-10-19. It lists The Kneaded Knook Bakery & Cafe at 9240 Plank Rd, in the Municipality of Bayham, Ontario, the municipality that includes Straffordville, with postal code N0J 1Y0, and it marks the business permanently closed. A listing's status is not a closure date. No dated report was found for when the bakery closed or why, whether the owners continued in some other form, or whether another business has used the building since. The record included no website.
In short, the sources read for this entry establish the episode title, air date and featured items, and the Google Places record's address and status. They do not establish who owned the bakery, what its menu or decor looked like before or after the episode, when it opened, or how long it operated after the broadcast. Straffordville is a community in Elgin County in southwestern Ontario, and the coordinates in the Places record fall on Plank Road in that area.
