TheTVDB's episode guide lists the Sugarbowl segment of the 2012-08-15 episode as built around its signature sweet and sticky buns, which are cinnamon buns. Sugarbowl is a bistro, pub and coffee spot at 10922 88 Avenue NW in Edmonton, serving the Garneau and University communities. According to its own website, it has operated since 1943, starting as a burger joint in the 1940s and 1950s, becoming a coffeehouse in the 1960s and 1970s, and later growing into a full-service bistro and pub. Daily Hive's roundup of the best cinnamon buns in Edmonton, published 2022-11-24, lists Sugarbowl at the same address. In October 2026 the website showed breakfast and brunch, lunch and dinner, coffee, draft beer, cocktail and dessert menus, an online ordering option and gift cards, with hours opening at 9 am daily and running as late as midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
