In the episode 'Klondike Rib and Salmon, Colette's Place, Sofra' (aired 2013-03-08), host John Catucci ate Turkish food at Sofra in Edmonton, where the chef cooks kebabs on swords, and then prepared for a beef kebab challenge, according to TheTVDB's episode page. Edify Edmonton's 2016-03-01 write-up of its Best Mediterranean category described Sofra as a Turkish restaurant with Mediterranean flavours and a Turkish twist, near MacEwan University. It named the spicy beef adana kebab as the signature dish, mentioned garlicky hummus with pita from a stone oven, noted a newer cellar with soft seating and small plates, and recorded the restaurant's appearance on You Gotta Eat Here!
