What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
In the episode 'The Burger's Priest, Bread Bar, EE Burritos' (aired 2013-03-08), TheTVDB's episode page describes Bread Bar in Hamilton as a bakery and pizzeria that combines both crafts to make what the episode calls the town's best pizza crust, with host John Catucci trying his hand at tossing the dough. Hamilton City Magazine reported on 2024-04-16 that the first Bread Bar opened on Locke Street in 2010 and that family-owned Pearle Hospitality acquired a controlling interest in 2021, after which the Bread Bar locations were renamed Bardō; the article described the Locke Street shop as open under its new name. CHCH reported on 2024-03-13 that Bread Bar had rebranded as Bardō.
The Bardō website, read in October 2026, lists a Locke Street location in Hamilton and does not list James Street. A Google Places entry for the later James Street branch at 14 James Street North is marked permanently closed, and Hamilton City Magazine reported on 2025-07-31 that a different restaurant, PER'SO'NA, opened at that address in July 2025.
Hamilton City Magazine's 'Dining Districts: A Locke on food', published 2026-05-22, lists Bardō at 258 Locke St. S., reported that Bread Bar was rebranded as Bardō in 2024, and described the Locke Street shop as a flagship for over 15 years. The article described a counter stocked daily with pastries and slices to go, and an espresso bar open from 9 a.m.
