Is Harmony B&B Still Open? The Hotel Inspector Update (Torquay, UK)

Harmony B&B in Torquay, Devon, was the subject of series 11, episode 2 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), which aired 2015-04-16. According to Wikipedia's episode list, presenter Alex Polizzi went to Torquay to help a bed and breakfast with a music theme. TheTVDB's episode page identifies the owners as Hans and Monika, a Dutch couple who had struggled to attract enough guests in the usually busy summer months and now needed money to carry them through the quieter winter season. It frames the central question as whether their music-themed decor was putting off potential customers. Wikipedia's list shows no later revisit episode for this property.

A listing on Destinia, undated, describes a Harmony Bed And Breakfast at 67 Avenue Road, Torquay TQ2 5LG: an independent villa-style guest house about a 12-minute walk from the seafront, with free parking, a self-service bar, rooms with private bathrooms and a TripAdvisor rating of 5 out of 5 from 401 reviews. A Google Maps listing for Harmony Bed & Breakfast at the same address carried an operational business status when checked on 2026-10-19. Neither listing mentions a music theme, Dutch owners or the television appearance, and neither is dated, so no source read for this entry confirms that it is the same operation seen in the episode or who runs it now. No website, opening hours or review dated 2026 was found.

A Google listing checked 2026-10-20 shows Harmony Bed & Breakfast at 67 Avenue Road in Torquay as a guest house that is not marked closed, with 102 Google reviews, the newest shown three to four months old, and room prices listed from booking sites. Reviews on the business's own website name hosts Michelle and James rather than the owners seen in the episode, so the B&B may have changed hands.
