What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

The Fieldhead Hotel in Looe, Cornwall, opened series 11 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5) on 2015-04-09. According to Wikipedia's episode list and TVmaze's episode guide, it was a 16-bedroom hotel where staff were struggling with a complicated booking system. Business Cornwall reported in September 2015 that owners Julian and Gill Peck said occupancy had risen 35 percent for May through September compared with the same months a year earlier after the Channel 5 visit, and it described the property as a 15-bedroom hotel with views across Looe Bay. TheTVDB lists a Fieldhead revisit episode airing 2016-08-30, matched by the hotel name and its Cornwall location, in which Alex Polizzi checked whether her advice to modernize had had an effect.

Ownership and use later changed. The Cornish Times reported on 2024-07-08 that a group of three business partners had bought the site in early June 2024, from a builder that had acquired it from Julian Peck in 2020, with plans to convert it into an aparthotel with a kitchenette in each room. In a piece dated January 2025 the Cornish Times reported that the building had been closed for five to six years while a builder sought permission to convert it into four homes, and that a refurbishment costing more than £500,000 had produced a 19-room aparthotel that opened before Christmas 2024.

The former restaurant had become a communal seating area, with cooked breakfast planned and no lunch or evening meals. Looe Town Council reported on 2025-03-12 that its mayor officially opened the renovated Fieldhead Hotel on 2025-02-27 as Looe's first aparthotel.

On 2026-10-19 the hotel's own website, fieldheadhotel.co.uk, loaded under the title Fieldhead Hotel with a Book Here button and a phone number.
