What happened after The Hotel Inspector?
St Anne's House, a Victorian former vicarage at Jennycliff overlooking Plymouth Sound, was the subject of the Hotel Inspector episode first shown on 2025-08-14 (series 20, episode 5). According to TheTVDB's entry, owners Neal and Tracey were trying to run the house as a large holiday let and wedding venue, but only six weddings had been booked in a year. Their plan was to turn a rundown property into a seven-bedroom rental with a pool, bar, hot tub and glamping units, and the entry says they feared it was not working out. Alex Polizzi was called in to help.
The house's own website describes a Grade II listed building dating from 1856 to 1858, with seven double bedrooms, five bathrooms, an outdoor heated pool, a hot tub and a poolside bar. It also offers glamping, corporate events and a direct link to the South West Coast Path. Its Hotel Inspector page features a photograph of Neal, Alex Polizzi and Tracey in front of the house, uploaded in September 2025.
The same website lists a December 2025 announcement of a listing on the Group Accommodation website, a new brochure PDF uploaded in March 2026 and a separate wedding website that it calls brand new. Its pages carry a 2026 copyright notice, and the page timestamp reads 2026-06-24. The site gives Jennycliff Lane, Plymouth PL9 9SN as the address and describes the property as owned by the Stoneman family. Plymouth City Council's business directory also lists a St Annes House at Jennycliff Lane, though that entry carries no date.
The sources read for this entry do not describe the advice Polizzi gave or the changes made during filming, so this record shows the situation before the episode and the business's own later updates.
