What happened after The Hotel Inspector?
Westbrook Lodge, an 11-room guest house at 9 Westcliff Gardens in Westbrook, Margate, Kent, featured in series 20, episode 2 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), aired 2025-07-24. According to TVmaze's episode summary, the guest house, run by a couple named Tracy and Colin, was losing out to nearby competitors and had too few bookings to be financially viable, and the couple did not own the building. The Isle of Thanet News reported on 2024-11-13 that Tracy and Colin Hadlow had run the guest house since 30 November 2020 and were due to appear on Channel 4's Four in a Bed from 25 November 2024.
The lodge's own website carries blog posts that look back on the Channel 5 visit. A post dated 2025-08-04 covers its experience on the show and boosting midweek trade. Later posts include a reflection on five years of transformation dated 2025-10-01 and a preview of 2026 events at Dreamland and Quex Park dated 2025-12-13; three entries listed above that one show only a month and day. The home page, viewed on 2026-10-19, says the lodge recently appeared on the show, offers 11 guest rooms, has a What's On menu entry labeled Coming in 2027, and still shows a 2024 copyright line. A Google Places record lists the business as operational. The sources read do not describe the specific changes made on screen.
